AVAILABLE FROM 28th April: Whilst I was collecting the strawberries one day, I came across Roly Holt and his delicious tomatoes grown at their neighbouring farm in Evesham. 450g of mixed Yelorita and Piccolo tomatoes delivered on the truss. Available through to mid September.

I very much enjoyed the sweet flavour of these tomatoes. They were a mix of red and yellow. Made a great salad, and were lovely in a good old cheddar cheese and tomato sandwich. The last few I used for bruschetta using some of the Cotswold Crunch Sourdough. I’ll be buying these again.

The tomatoes are just as good as last year. It’s wonderful to have really tasty tomatoes that make a salad sing. They are also good seared in a pan with an omelette of Mayfield’s excellent eggs cooked on top.
