An award winning loaf from Mark’s Cotswold Bakery in Chipping Norton… It took two years to perfect with this gorgeously moist and open crumb. It is enjoyed widely as an appetizer in Oxfordshire restaurants but is perfect simply with butter. Or enjoy with a Mayfield poached egg.

The Churchill White loaf has a soft crumb and a wonderfully crunchy crust. Lovely smell and very tasty. I cut two thick slices and dressed them with butter. Had the first slice and enjoyed it. Had the second slice with a poached duck egg and some of the new asparagus from Mayfield which made a spledid lunch.
Looking forward to loaf number 2.
